Defeat Poverty DC invites you to join a Conversation with the Candidates for Mayor and Council Chair. The event is co-sponsored by The Bar Association of the District of Columbia, the UDC David A. Clarke School of Law, the D.C. Appleseed, D.C. Vote, Consortium of Universities, the ACLU-NCA, the NAACP, the D.C. Consortium of Legal Services Providers, and the Access to Justice Commission. The speakers will be Adrian Fenty (invited), Vincent Gray (confirmed), Kwame Brown (confirmed), and Vincent Orange (confirmed). The moderators will be Bruce DePuyt, News Channel 8, and Kathy Patterson, former Councilmember. We expect an in-depth conversation among the candidates and these two respected, knowledgeable moderators about the future of the District and its government.
